Background

Starkey has a long history of developing custom‑molded hearing aids, and Omega AI represents the brand’s latest evolution in this category, bringing advanced technology and personalization to its custom-fit solutions.

Omega AI is built around always-on artificial intelligence designed to improve speech clarity and reduce listening effort in real-world environments. For people who prefer in-ear hearing aids, Starkey offers Omega AI in three custom styles—In-the-Ear (ITE) Rechargeable, In-the-Canal (ITC) Rechargeable, and Completely-in-Canal (CIC)—so you can choose the right balance of size, features, and discretion.

Each Omega AI device is custom-made from an ear impression, resulting in a personalized fit that can improve comfort, stability, and discretion.

Key Features

Always-On AI for Speech Clarity

Omega AI uses Starkey’s latest sound processing chip (released in late 2025) to actively analyze your environment and prioritize speech, even in challenging background noise.

The goal is clearer conversations with less listening fatigue—especially in social settings like restaurants, meetings, and group conversations.

Modern Connectivity and App Control

Omega AI supports Bluetooth streaming across all three sizes, including the invisible-style CIC. The CIC is one of the smallest Bluetooth streaming hearing aids on the market and cleverly uses the clear pull tab as a wireless antenna. All three styles pair with the My Starkey app, letting you adjust volume, change programs, and check battery status directly from your phone.

Rechargeable models are designed with future-ready connectivity in mind, including support for emerging broadcast audio standards.

Compare the 3 In-Ear Styles

Omega AI ITE R (In-the-Ear, Rechargeable)

Best for: Easiest handling and visibility

  • Largest of the three in-ear options
  • Fills more of the outer ear, making insertion and removal easier
  • Rechargeable battery
  • Bluetooth streaming and app control

This is the most approachable in-ear option for users who want custom fit with simpler handling.

Omega AI ITC R (In-the-Canal, Rechargeable)

Best for: A smaller look without giving up features

  • Medium-size design that sits deeper in the ear canal
  • Rechargeable battery
  • Bluetooth streaming and app control

ITC R offers a strong balance between discretion and modern convenience.

Omega AI CIC (Completely-in-Canal)

Best for: Maximum discretion

  • Sits deep in the ear canal and is nearly invisible when worn
  • Uses a disposable battery
  • One of the smallest streaming-capable custom hearing aids on the market

CIC is ideal if appearance is your top priority and you want the smallest possible hearing aid without moving to a larger style.

How Does the Sound Compare?

Starkey Omega AI emphasizes clear, crisp speech with reduced background noise and lower listening effort. We've been very impressed with this new generation of devices from the brand.

Because these are prescription hearing aids, your hearing care professional can fine-tune the sound over time to match your preferences, environments, and hearing needs.

Are Starkey Omega AI Custom Hearing Aids For You?

Omega AI in-ear hearing aids are a great choice if you want advanced technology in a discreet, custom-fit design.

  • Choose ITE R for the easiest handling and controls
  • Choose ITC R for a smaller rechargeable option with modern features
  • Choose CIC if discretion is your top priority and you want one of the smallest in-ear options available

If you’d like help deciding which Omega AI style makes the most sense for your hearing loss, lifestyle, and priorities, our team can walk you through the options and help you connect with local care for next steps.

What are the tradeoffs to local care through Soundly?
+

Soundly’s program offers strong savings and flexibility—but it works a bit differently than traditional clinic models.

Here’s why pricing is often lower:

Program Scale

  • Our partnerships allow us to offer clear, transparent pricing—passing savings directly to you.

Flexible Ongoing Care

  • Many clinics bundle 2–3 years of care into the upfront price. With Soundly, you only pay for ongoing care if and when you need it. Your initial purchase includes unlimited care for the first 60 days, covering the critical setup and adjustment period. After that you can set up a service package or pay as you go (typically around $100 per visit).
How do I make sure I get my Soundly perks?
+

All providers in our network are ready to support Soundly customers. The best way to ensure your Soundly price and perks is to:

  • Click “Find Local Care”, on this page and get matched to a local clinic
  • You can also call our team at 1 (833) SOUNDLY to walk through the referral process

We'll send you a referral confirmation number—emailed to you and shared directly with your selected clinic—so they’re ready for your visit.

We recommend saving or printing your referral email to bring with you to your appointment.
